Jesus Calling September 30th

"I am perpetually with you, taking care of you. That is the most important fact of your existence. I am not limited by time or space; My presence with you is a forever-promise. You need not fear the future, for I am already there. When you make that quantum leap into eternity, you will find Me awaiting in heaven. Your future is in My hands; I release it to you day by day, moment by moment. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow.

I want to see you live this day abundantly, seeing all there is to see, doing all there is to do. Don't be distracted by future concerns. Leave them to Me! Each day of life is a glorious gift, but so few people know how to live within the confines of today. Much of their energy for abundant living spills over the timeline into tomorrow's worries or past regrets. Their remaining energy is sufficient only for limping through the day, not living it to the full. I am training you to keep your focus on My Presence in the present. This is how to receive abundant Life, which flows freely from My throne of grace."      -  Sarah Young

Halloween Projects - Bottle of Boos & Mummy Mason Jars

Here are a few cute Halloween projects I created last Halloween. I gave all the cute wine bottles away to friends and family.Ed said the best part of this project for me was collecting the wine bottles! Well, maybe.........:)This year I plan on keeping at least one for myself!:) Emmy and I made the adorable mummy mason jars. Super easy to make! It took at total of 10 minutes. Just wrap the jars with 2 inch gauze and secure at the back. I didn't even glue the gauze down. I just tucked it in and it stayed secured. Added some googly eyes and there you go!! Got this one off Pinterest (of course), my favorite "go to" place for all my DIY projects!:)
Added little boo confetti inside the wine bottle.

"Queen" Nala

Here is Nala the "Queen" of the house! She is something else! I can't even get near Ed without her getting jealous. She doesn't care for Freckles, our other cat or Molly, except for at night when she starts to purr and jumps in bed with Molly. They can't stand each other during the day, but at night they are best friends!!

Poor Molly!

I had to take Molly to the Vet. today for an emergency visit. I thought she was chocking on something, like a small lime she likes to play with.( I know........she steals them from the vase we keep them in) No, that wasn't it!Thank God! She had fever, which I had no clue about, and a horrible cough. The Vet. asked if she was recently kenneled and I answered no she had not been kenneled or even around any other dogs. Weird.......there is no way she could have kennel cough ....right??? I don't know, maybe she picked something up on her walk the other night. She is now on antibiotics for 10 days and  a cough suppressant. She has already had 2 doses and is feeling much better! Poor thing! I'm not sure where she caught this from, but I'm very happy she is feeling like herself again!:)
Molly resting after her vet. visit. Much better now thanks to the antibiotics! :)

Frozen Party!!

Emmy had her 9th birthday party last weekend. It was also our 29th wedding anniversary!!:) Emmy LOVES the Frozen movie, sooooooo her theme was a Frozen movie theme. I made some things for the party. I thought they turned out pretty cute!:) I would have made the cake two double layers, but I was on a time crunch. I just arrived home from Dallas the night before and had to use what I had at the house.
I made Olaf out of cheese sticks and the water labels had Anna & Elsa on them and said "melted snow"!

Carrot cake with "blue" cream cheese icing! The letters are white chocolate.

Jesus Calling September 25

Pour all of your energy into trusting Me. It is through trust that you stay connected to Me, aware of My Presence. Every step on your life-journey can be a step of faith. Baby steps of trust are simple for you; you can take them with almost unconscious ease. Giant steps are another matter all together: leaping across chasms in semidarkness, scaling cliffs of uncertainty, trudging through the valley of the shadow of death. These feats require sheer concentration, as well as utter commitment to Me.

Each of My children is a unique blend of temperament, giftedness, and life experiences. Something that is a baby step for you may be a giant step for another person, and visa versa. Only I know the difficulty or ease of each segment of your journey. Beware of trying to impress others by acting as if your giant steps are only baby ones. Do not judge others who hesitate in trembling fear before an act that would be easy for you. If each of My children would seek to please Me above all else, fear other's judgments would vanish, as would attempts to impress others. Focus your attention on the path just ahead of you and on the One who never leaves your side. - Sarah Young

Thank you to my wonderful co-workers who gave me a little, brown leather devotional book called, "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young. This little book has been my saving grace through these difficult times.

Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

It's that time of the year again! The Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will be in October and Emmy and I have done this Walk with my class the last several years. Even though I will not have a class participating this year, Emmy and I still plan on walking. Hopefully a cold front won't blow in,as it did last year. Brrrrrrr..... was it cold!

Emmy and I trying to stay warm before the walk!!

My beautiful class!! Love how they have pink water coming out of the water fountain.:)

Will Power!

Will's t-shirt campaign for Mito. was very successful! The goal was to sell 50 shirts to raise awareness of this rare, hideous disease, and we sold exactly 50. We were hoping to possibly go over the set goal, but we will take every little bit we can get.:)

I've been helping Kasey with the kids this last week. Will has done well most of the time, but these last couple of days have not gone well. He has had this strange jerking of his head towards the end of the day. He also gets super hyper and his eyes start twitching. We know all of these things are due to his disease, but it doesn't make it any easier to watch. This whole situation is extremely difficult!

This is such a difficult time for the family. My heart aches for them all. I pray for God to give me the right words to say in this trying situation. Please continue to pray for our precious Will and for the family. We appreciate all the love and support!!

I praise God that Lauren does not have Leigh's Disease. We are blessed! We needed some good news!:)
Sweet Emmy & adorable Will!:)
Will has now graduated to the toddler bed! He loved his baby bed and when he felt an episode coming on he would asked to be put in his crib. Now what 2 year old does that? God bless him!
Lauren making a funny face at just a few days old!

Lemonade Stand

Recently Heather and her adorable kids had a lemonade stand to help raise money for Will's Mitochondrial Research Fund. It was a great success!! It looks like they had tons of fun as well!! Thank you so much Heather and kids!! That was so kind of you! Every bit towards research helps!:)
